Taken in Battery Park City, New York City just as the fine wet snow was melting due to the intense morning sun creating this magical myriad of prisms. The colour in the photo has been saturated to best illustrate the water crystals on the tree branches.
This scene looks like something you would imagine as a place in Narnia, the magical land from one of my favorite childhood books, " The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", by CS Lewis especially with the lamppost and the snow and the rainbow effect of all the water crystals on the tree branches. If you look carefully, you can see the Faun hiding behind the trees! :)

My soul is full of longing for the secret of the sea, and the heart of the great ocean sends a thrilling pulse through me. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans. Kahlil Gibran The ocean is my passion. I can spend hours just observing its many forms; drawn to its beauty, serenity, calmness, chaos, power and its ever changing colors, shapes and textures. I hope my photography conveys to you, if not all, at least a fraction of the emotion and the spell it has cast over me. The Natural World comes in a close second; landscapes, trees and flowers in all their simplicity, yet intricate and complex beauty. Then everything else! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to browse...
