Spectacular surfer portrait, Debra — On Oahu’s furious North Shore, where the Pacific hurls cathedrals of water skyward, one lone rider balances on the knife-edge of chaos, a dark comma written in defiance across a roaring turquoise sentence. In that trembling heartbeat before the wave devours everything, man and ocean pause in perfect, breathless covenant (equal parts worship and dare), proving once again that harmony is sometimes just another word for dancing with a beautiful monster that could take you out.
