Artist's Description
A fascinating abstract reflection of an old industrial building in the water of the Chicago River. A boat passed by and the ripples created this incredible image, a sequence appears to be frequency waves.
You can see the distorted windows and base of the building and the graduated effect as the ripples move outwards towards to left side of the image.
About Debra Banks
My soul is full of longing for the secret of the sea, and the heart of the great ocean sends a thrilling pulse through me. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans. Kahlil Gibran The ocean is my passion. I can spend hours just observing its many forms; drawn to its beauty, serenity, calmness, chaos, power and its ever changing colors, shapes and textures. I hope my photography conveys to you, if not all, at least a fraction of the emotion and the spell it has cast over me. The Natural World comes in a close second; landscapes, trees and flowers in all their simplicity, yet intricate and complex beauty. Then everything else! Love this image! I’m originally from Chicago and took the water taxi on the Chicago River from my office on Wacker Drive over to Michigan Avenue many times.
