Description
Located along the Golden Circle in the south of Iceland . Gullfoss is a waterfall located in the canyon of the Hvítá river in southwest Iceland. This Iconic waterfall is known for its multi-step cascade along a 90° bend of the Hvitá River. The Gullfoss waterfall is also known as the 'Golden Falls' since on a sunny day, the water takes a golden-brown colour. This is due to the fact that it is glacial water, and carries lots of sediments that glacial ice has carved off the Earth over the years.

I want to be standing at the edge looking at this view. Then again, not really...it's too dang cold! Nice photo.
